Where to Warm Up with a Cup of Hot Chocolate in Cambridge

After enjoying some outdoor winter activities, stop by a local restaurant or coffee shop to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate. The best places for this wintertime favorite near our Cambridge apartments include:

Broadsheet Coffee Roasters

Founded in 2017, the Broadsheet Coffee Roasters opened to share Aaron MacDougall's love of coffee. He won his first coffee roasting competition while still an amateur and has been a finalist for two years running in the U.S. Roaster Championship. Along with the coffee, the menu also includes hot chocolate and freshly baked pastries from a local bakery. The Broadsheet is open daily until 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Bartley's

While Mr. Bartley's is best known for its burgers, it also offers a delicious peppermint hot chocolate that will warm you on a chilly Cambridge day. The restaurant opened in 1960 when Joe and Joan Bartley were on a mission to create the perfect burger. Today, their family carries on their tradition of offering some of the tastiest dishes in town. Mr. Bartley's has gained recognition from major publications and features a dorm room setting complete with posters, bumper stickers, and funny signs.

Step into Zinneken's to enjoy some of the best waffles around. The founders are from Belgium, and they opened the restaurant after deciding to bring their liege-style waffles to the United States. During your visit, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with a strawberry glamour waffle.

If you would rather grab hot chocolate to-go, curl up at home with your drink and a new read from a local bookstore. The shops offer an array of genres, from mysteries to armchair travel. To call Tempo Cambridge home, please contact our leasing team. They would love for you to see the amenities and floor plans our apartments in Cambridge have to offer.
